“When They Look At You” When they look at you They see a touch of age upon your skin But each line tells me a story Of all the places you have ever been When they look at you They cannot see past your blue eyes I see the beauty your heart holds That a look could never hide When they look at you They see a tall, strong and handsome man But do now know the healing power From a soft touch of your rough hands When they look at you They see a man who knows no pain I see the hurt from loves you have lost But a future where love remains When they look at you They see pride that has no bounds I see you have uncovered your soul And happiness is what you have found When they look at you They see you strive to be the best I see you reaching your every goal And accepting nothing less When they look at you I only wish that they could see A love that shines deep in your eyes When you look at me ©Melissa Joy |

Dear WildHorses, I really like your poetry, your going to get better and better as long you keep on putting all that thought into your poems like you do. Dave Wisdom begins in wonder Socrates 469-399bc |
