Whatya up to
unpromising poem
cerebral salad sporting
a calculus of moments
on this one sided trail

oh playful distractions
speaking in tongues
how all bunched up in
crisp attitude you are

tackling my accomplishments
with sense of mystery
howls and
humor with
cheeks never glancing
at the clock
selected gauntlet
with flashy tricks
knowing emotional success

soap opera kitchen
how slightly larger then life
you are
dear poem
with desire to be seen
in human form
self reinventing layers
of frothing ocean

being kind to youth
sometimes clotted
to the second half
of my life
how digging latrines
voice
real world experience
dying & living
living & dying
at the same time
immortality in desires

oh poem, of imaginative conditions
how heaven sent, you are
when out of nowhere you discharge
like a violent manic episode
or a book in this poet’s house
a violin sonnet
of things that feel
on a first name basis

oh poem,
how shall i place
every gem on my journey
is it a conviction
to your reincarnation
a self-dialogued story
of many sisters
whispering feathered
God murmurs
that I know nothing of

do you feel the store
of wanton rejection
my physic spiritual life
with a complexion
the sense of smell
the smell of blush
and perfection
oh poem
selling herbs of intellectual
and silly bankrupt things
are you the partner
who stole my assets
the one who eludes
ordinary thought

teaching me
the value of patience
of humbleness
straight forwardness
sorting out anthems
of reinvention
for another time
another year
another death

hey there poem, whataya up to

Lee,
Ah, the roller coaster of penning poetry. Well done.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I believe it is all of those things...

Marvelous penning,

"are you the partner
who stole my assets"
I smiled my way through this one, and even laughed, especially at the above.
BRAVO on this delightful poem, dear friend

heaven sent, indeed...and now and then
a little devilment sneaks through...

and then...

yes

and then.

Thank you for this shot in the arm.
