Once a little girl
In pigtails and a kiddie pool
Now labelled a young lady
Almost in high school

There is a certain grace
With which I wish to act
But sometimes it’s still nice
To forget this solemn pact
I wish to be treated
Like an adult
I still wish to be a kid
It’s more of a desire
To do as I once did
To think as I once did
To speak as I once did

Sweet innocence,
Please don’t forbid.

The little girl within me is still alive and well! Would yours like to come out and play with mine?

Loving Light,
Linda Lou
