Saturday again I take the boat the one that bears my name “The Lady” carrying the lady to drown my tears in salt August sun pulls me low close to the mangroves where water clear and thin shows its silver jewels dangling below the surface I am at peace here where freckles burn slow and blue crabs run free away from speeding fiberglass scampering to chicken legs tightly tied to underwater nets how I love the bay to forget rich with the sparkling of floating southern diamonds for miles all I can see is the endless water and that is where I am totally at home alone but not lonely just some words cut from |
