In tiny shoes from cloth of blue Twenty years ago I come home to you I grin, I laugh, I sob, I cry I am forever yours till the day I die You teach me this, you teach me that I only wish I could give it back From dusk till dawn, you’re always there I am your spitting image, every strand of hair My mind, my heart, the things I do Are all a golden reflection of you Hovering above with your watchful eye I will make you proud, at least I will try There is nothing above, what you’ve done for me I only wish that your father could see Because I know he’d try his best to be Only half the father that you’ve been to me And for that I thank you, with every beat of my heart Because being your son, has been the best part |

I enjoyed this; some very moving themes. A particularly sweet ending. |
