I stitched my heart,
With minute hair line cracks,
left by you,

As momentos,
Witness of our failed Love.

It Defaced my heart,
As much as the sorrow
prints on my face.

I refused to look,
straight in my face.
It leads my mind to stray,
reminds me of a familiar face.

You appeared again.
You removed my stitches,
Caused it to bleed.

Please...
Leave....
I plea...

I have to start to stitch.

I know the feeling, deeply imbued, but, upon the day of realization, you seem to be thankful for the view, for everything you experienced, expecially the love you felt...we learn and live again...

Hugs for a heart wrenching poem

I put a zipper there
they can just unzip
and get the blood
then I zip it back up

seems to work
for now at least

enjoyed your work

I hate when that happens

been there, done it... too many times

WOW!  I know this feeling...from long ago thank goodness!
A most excellent write.
Hugs~Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

This hurt to read, but I loved the 'sorrow prints'  -- that is a beautiful expression.  I am sure it will linger with me next time they cross my face -
