Tired and wired, ragged and worn. Caught up in dust since the day I was born. Where I'll wind up... God only knows. I get spun around everytime the wind blows. I've had glimpses of gold in old leather sacks Bound up in dirt-bags by the side of the tracks. In the swirling winds of Time The dust all blows away. It's the gold that weighs heavy And makes the sacks stay. Spending themselves on pleasures and woes Then turn back to dust each time the wind blows. The gold has bought miracles. The gold paid for sins. The Devil and angels know where I've been. I get spun around everytime the wind blows Just where I'll wind up... God only knows. |

The flow and rhyme are so nice and the thought is fun but scarey. One who just goes with the flow, wondering where it'll take them, usually winds up nowhere good. I liked this. Rae |

Thought provoking indeed... However, all people are blown by the winds of time because no one can controll the steady onward trek it makes for us all. Nice write. Kristabell "Use your imagination not to scare yourself to death but to inspire yourself to life." |

This is one awesome lyric/poem. It's one of those rare gems that ends far sooner than I want. |
