I Don't Understand. |

Why man is so fearsome of things which it cannot understand. My natural reaction is curiosity, in comparison of that of a baby pressing a TV remote’s buttons for the first time; If i don’t understand something, I’ll press every button until the understandable is understood. So i ask myself, why are most others historically known to take the opposite reaction? Is fear genetically defined in our natural biology to act out against the unknown? Or am i just an alien, or god forbid, maybe I’m gifted. I never was in G.A.T.E.; for long that is. Fear is something we all fear an invisible paradox in describing and defining itself. So many have suffered for the misfortunes of others’ inability to understand a certain invisible art with huge scenic proportions. This thing called understanding is no different from coal mining, they’re both on assignment, to unearth a diamond. Still man fears the worst of being overthrown by the unknown but fear not, because if you don’t understand, then you don’t know, and if you don’t know, then it doesn’t really exist. and all is good, you could go back to continue living life in your cage and continue to be disgraced of being a descendent of an ape, for it too is ashamed of producing such an ignorant thing. |

Interesting write. Now, I do hope you don't take the same "push every button" approach with a new car or an unknown device to see what happens. I have a new computer and because I probably couldn't afford the repairs, I avoid what I don't know until I learn how to use it. In my estimation, it's healthy fear, but there is paranoia, too, that freezes one from ever learning. Perhaps everyone's line between the two is in a different place. Rae |
