Mental Disorder

I don't have the mental disorder
no, you do
you're the one with borderline schizotypical narcissistic self-abusing love
that dominates the will of others
but I've managed to stay above water long enough
long enough to breathe in the clouds
and build myself up,
feel the air of the earth
connect to me and
seperate me from the b.s. you have stirred
in the toxic noise of your mind
spilling over into so many other realities
till dimensions are filled up with TV static
and feedback from a broken wire
crossing over the rivers in your heart

I don't have the emotional strength for this
I'm not ubermensch or a braniac
just a simple lonely guy who can't grab a hold
of the batons people are handing me
as I run far down this shimmering path
leading to nowhere you'd call special
destinations are for people with places to go
and beautiful social skills
and such achingly wonderful lover tongues
hip, smart, whiplash of my sarcastic, dismissive/possesive,
pot-calling-kettle-black cherry tree of the mind
hitching a lifeboat full of the best aspects of my life
to the ghost of a steam ship rising from the dark waters
like the Titanic in reverse
like a witch's spell
I watch the treasure disappear from me

We won't have much time left for frivolty
running barefoot in the grass
tonight the news is coming through
and the world is at war with the war that plagues the world
it's been a long hard travel down the gun barrel
to come face to face with ourselves
hold on tight now to your loved one
and if you're lonely like me, hold on to the frozen earth
'cause these next few years of boiling over hostilities
are gonna test the validity of strength of being
love of love
and mental disorders that define us
and refine the law and chaos
that are the very structure of life
that are the very breath and soul of living
living lies or giving futile tries
at being important to another soul
and we all are
at least I hope so.

Am I really inarticulate if I just say, "Wow!"?  This is pretty powerful with some wonderful phrases.  It's good and I am glad that I stopped in to read it.
