God Woke Me With His Laughter Today I spoke with God about you and how I feel born again how your kiss is a miracle that makes me believe in heaven. I know He knows you I've seen Him looking through your eyes I've heard Him whisper to the flowers about your beauty and how they cannot compare. I know that once God made you into a butterfly and summered the sky azure applause as His tongue licked your colours and dripped rainbow poetry. I was safe in the bristles of brush naked in the paint karma carved on memory skin. We were helplessly, madly, deeply in the depths and I knew it was love, a breath of magic. He gave me a gift of dreams that never let me touch you yet I was free to watch and fly beside you tracing your silhouette with fingertip imagination. You felt me like you had known me someday, somewhere and always wondered what happened to the one who awoke to God's laughter. By Melissa Long-Monette Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |

Very captivating, dear Melissa! He gave me a gift of dreams that never let me touch you yet I was free to watch and fly beside you tracing your silhouette with fingertip imagination. The joy of expectation and/or recognition can be so intense. Beautiful! Love, Margherita |

~*~I'm honoured to receive replies from 3 poets whom I adore and regard as highly talented, so big thank you's and hugs! I think most poets at PIP perceive me as being dark and gloomy with my poetry, however, believe it or not I prefer to write about love and/or soulmates - I am a self-proclaimed hopeful romantic, afterall. So, it's good to at least finally post my latest soulmate poem. It's certainly not one of my most poignant or in-depth love poems, but, nonetheless, it feels good to share it~ And yeah, I'm a picture junkie too! Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |

The picture that follows your poem reminds me of a Rodin sculpture called THE KISS.http://www.anthonyarmstrong.zoomshare.com |

It is hard to comment on this poem, when it does not give me the strength I require. Then one day maybe it will, just to say that I have read these words I hope can be enough. a poet who cares |

What a lovely poem! You wordpainted the emotion of being in love with a rainbow palette! I enjoyed reading this vey much! The butterfly touch is gorgeous, a metaphor in itself that makes me smile. (It doesn't escape me that this gorgeous creature is called a Monarch, either; like love, gentleness reigns.) Klassy |
