Tears fall
dreams shatter
as I write
this letter
You
no longer
at arms length
I had to say goodbye
One last time
I had to walk away
One last time
Into the arms
of the angels
I fall asleep
to their lullaby
I ache
to be touched
one last time
but not by you
but by another
dreams tempt
my broken heart
I ache
to feel again
to kiss another
to love another
one last time
The moon
dulls the pain
the wind
sweeps away your name
from my lips
as I dream
of
an angel's embrace...

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.
