Tater Tot Not! Tatelyn is such a pretty name I’d like to keep it if it’s all the same But, no!I get to be called Tater Tot Is it a name to grow on?I think not! Tater Tot, Tater Tot, Tater Tot Not! Of all the nicknames this is the one I’ve got. Could it be Petals?Or Sunny? Or Sweet Ambri? Could it be Moon Beam? Or Leafy?Or Red Lily? No, it’s Tater Tot, Tater Tot, Tater Tot Not! It’s the nickname that I got Tatelyn is truly the name for me It fits the big girl I’ll grow up to be It’s really good this Tatelyn name I’ve got But!I am called Tater Tot, Tater Tot, Tater Tot Not! I guess it shouldn’t bother me a great big lot Yet maybe we could pick another name out of the pot Like Princess Petunia or Sweet Dandelion Jane Or Tiny Sweet Butterfly might be a good name. I don’t care! But let’s be fair! Tatelyn is good and Tate is just fine But Tater Tot Not will drive me out of my mind! aziza -- to my littlest friend, Tater Tot (aka Tatelyn) who is 2! |

Ah, do share, when she is older, that a little girl named Karilea [rhymes with "Saralee"] was called Karatlee... by a cousin..for years and years and years.... and besides.... I just love tatertots! |

Nicknames. Oh! How they do stick...even if we hate them as we grow older. A friend of mine his name is Melvin. As a child he had lots and lots of energy and his grandparents called him Peppy. Now grown he is known as Pepper. Me. My sis called me BonBOn all the time and has stuck with me all these years. But I love the nickname because it wraps me in love. Even my work mates call me BonBon or BunnyBuns out of friendship. Love your poems CUTE. Hugs BonBon  |
