Our Wedding Day

19 July 2006

Was there ever to be such a day
that day we will call our wedding day
As hands clasped and hearts exchanged
given all of what had been
in moments estranged

This love across the stars
all the way to the moon and back
Where happiness was all of hope
and another moment held in prayer

This love for her, that love insight
OK, finally made alright in ways to give
Sure it was in fairness to reach for the sun
in knowing finally beside him, she was there

Was there ever to be such a day
this day they would call our wedding day
Husband and wife, man and woman in love
a day to remember in sending
thanks to the moon above

“And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord,
when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh
and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.”
Luke 12: 36 KJV

A wonderful penning Christopher!
Just remember my friend~
Reach for the moon, if you miss it..
you'll still land amongst the stars.

Very much enjoyed the read.

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

The amazing part about this poem to me, even as the writer, was I did not realize the pattern I had set myself, in the case of the "This" and the "Was".

And that was never intentional, the poem just wrote itself that way, and only when I posted this on pip, did I see what I saw within my own words.

While Nancy, the moon has become an interesting theme for me these past few weeks, and that was not even from my own original idea, but another heart in far off Canada

When Nancy, I look at your kind comment and find they relate to close to this poem I composed before you even got to read the above poem /pip/Forum95/HTML/001792.html

this is such beauty.
I just got married on July 6th so this rung out to me

Without the experiance of love where would we be? We would have no memories to cherish.
With love it brings hurt with hurt bittersweet memories.

My birthday was on July 6 and I have a good friend on line from Ohio. Such are those coincidences Heather, because my mother's name is Heather as well.

and July 6 marked another day in the one year anniversary of knowing my friend from Ohio for one year. When her and I have a great friendship.
