Now cool breezes do caress
I see into the future of the seasons cold beauty
I see that the cold is the path to wanting warmth
Futures do so find a resolution in such dyer harmonies
Can my sunshine fall upon me as I sleep?
I have seen simple ideas as I wandered this forest
For she has taught me many things
I see now that no man can see as all men truly should
She has given questioning that all men mustn’t see
What is wrong with you she said at first to me
My answer was a foolish one I said I am but man
Her laugh did startle me for she told me what a fool
An animal a beast you seem forgetful of your place
All thinking, walking, moving things have only but one face
But you as all your head high breed believe yourself the higher
And so you are the blinded fools that can get yourself no higher
I felt a great bemusement and fell into a cave
I spent so many hours there until I understand
The days I haven’t seen are always soon to come
And my arms are almost breaking from the weight of the hopes I hold
So I stand with greedy fingers broken from a stone
She left me there to find it and later on to die
But seven days a sitting and three more days to cry
A stone did break and wanting left the mind of such a man
I am but a lone one who walks the path that’s plundered
I see countless and the counted as counters are to smile
They see the stone that cursed my hands and gifted my true mind
They see it not for purposes but to purchase is a crime
I wander in this forest to see the true divine

One day I lost my memories in smoke and distant thoughts
It was an ever-changing world I saw
I saw it changing from a stagnate place with nothing truly wrong
I saw life, a memory eternal lost within my mind
Great in great out breathing, birth, life, and death
A foot that falls, it falls without my thinking
A mind that wanders it wanders unconsciously
I speak and sing and dance and cry without my truly knowing
I live without trying without a need to push through time
Time has pushed me, fate has made me, life has given chance
To find myself an answer to my questioned circumstance
Creation and I made by the wings of butterfly
“Oh sweet lovely” she said with the wind
You and me and everything, formed in such a fluke
Just a big coincidence
She laughed again when I said it was god
Teardrops of rain fell from my eyes
She showed me an ant and she asked me a question
“How different are we from the ants small you see”
“I know I‘m alive; I know that I’m wise”
“Fool” she shrieked heart into terror, I could not understand
The ants are the wise for they know not they live and know nothing at all
Without belief or questions or answers or fear
Without senseless politics or doubts
They die and don’t cry because they care not what happens
You beasts of the mind who see and think thoughts
Believe you’re entitled and believe yourself smart
Humble I felt and humble I grew
Questioning nature and the knowledge I knew

immersing yourself in nature brings out the pulse of life, the who and why of ~me~

another keeper, my poet friend

...and when the mute did speak,
the midnitesun did hear his song,
and the forest guardians smiled,
and whispered..
there is hope, after all
