Lace handkerchief and silver comb
A glass hatpin, some fine cologne
Dusting powder, looking glass
Rococo pin tray made of brass

War heroes bride, mother of four
Healer of wounds, keeper of lore
Matriarch, patriot, dutiful wife
In front of the mirror, reflecting on life

WELCOME TO PASSIONS TINA!
A wonderful entrance piece, filled with vivid imagery.
I shall look forward to reading more of your work.

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

This is sheer beauty and so are you.  What a poignant and heart-warming poem.  And your first share -- I can not wait to read more.  This is just lovely!

Hi again Tina.  My goodness our minds do run in the same circle.  I have one called the Old Soldier, much like the other one you have posted here and another about seeing the past in an old mirror.  They are both posted somewhere in these forums.  Love, Joyce

Tina~
And with reading the beauty of your thoughts,
my mind's remembering place turned to my great grandmother ...
this is so gracefully prissified, just as she was~
This easily could have been Anna M. Wainwright's dressing table~

Thank you for a nostalgic recall~

WELCOME TO PiP~
