These surroundings are what we create
The triggers that proclaim our fate
And everyone has got that site
Of pleasure filled, or not quite right

We fill our world with rights and wrong
The childhood things that all belong
The photos of our lives now passed
Mementoes that we hoped would last

There is love and there is hate
Words within we can’t relate
Times of good and times of bad
Times of up and feeling sad

There’s a door for in and out
But not a place to go and shout
Windows that reveal the day
Prayers that just to God we say

There’s things to do that always wait
Calls to friends, then it’s too late
Finding time to smell the scent
Wondering what life is meant

More surroundings to create
Living then our given fate
Doing what feels right that day
Until another comes our way

Hi Sheli, thanks for your reply my friend, I will, i will and then it does not happen, I think we all know the feeling, but then the guilt of it goes away. Call the friend you were going to, and even one chore a day done helps.
Great to see you here sheli, take care and be well.

Sincerely
Rick

'tis a good reminder
and a lesson I learned many years ago
when I lost my best friend
I've often wished I'd said more
of what was in my heart.
so, your words hit very close to home

thank you

Hi again Sheli, life hits home so often doesn't it, thanks again for your reply, good to see you here, take care and stay well.

Dear Dixie, great to see you here my friend, every day is a terrific one, well that is what I hope for, real life tells its different story though, the good and the bad. Moments sharing such as this, gives the heart direction and some moments joy. Thanks for your reply dear friend, have a great day and smile heaps.

To you both again my friends, thanks for the replies, always wonderful to catch up and share, till next time bye.

Sincerely
Rick
