Leftovers

So good to see you again...
nice weather we're having lately...
please stand at least three feet back,
I would appreciate it greatly.

It's good to see you're vertical
and all with you is fine and good,
same here since I don't depend on you
and realized I never could.

I applaud your grand entrance,
a stately presence is known,
you should grace someone else though
because I'd rather be alone.

Oh my, look at the time...
I've so many things to do...
you really should be going on
to the plenty who want so much of you

because I'm sick of leftovers.

I love the line "you should grace someone else though"

The irony in this poem is somehow subtly blatant. Well done!

Fantastic! You go, my friend. Stand your ground. You know I am behind you 100%. Hang onto all tht strength, real tight. and, anytime you need moral support, I will be there.

Artfully written, Dixie...good job.  Ken
