Why love, might the heart skip and wander
when the sight of you gleams my eyes?
When murmurs grace the lobes of ears
so soft and tenderly sweet. When toes
trace the naked calf and shivers roam
the spine.....why love, when love does
roam the vine.

I bask the velvet of your hair, the ruby
of your lips. I bask the stare that calls
to me...invites such pure sweet sips.

Why love, why....do the mountains
hear the sigh, the sigh of a wanting
thirst.....as a tear does damp the eye.

For in the night of wandering skies,
when moons wade the heaven’s
pond. When stars fall lazily...
And daybreak drags the dawn.
Then love, precious love....my
voyage does come for thee....and
as the waves do wash our shore
we’ll wade the wandering sea...
