On sheets still fresh from washing hung in summer sun to dry moonlight glimpsing through a window open to the sky We lay, we lie, together, in the moonlight, you and I Our limbs, they are entangled In a sweet lover's embrace Familiar lines of muscle and spine Deftly dancing digits trace We lay, we lie together, heart to heart and face to face Our souls, they sing as one now In love's own perfect key My heart pens the lyrics While yours thrums the melody We lay, we lie, together in perfect harmony |

Sheli~ I adore the loving sounds of this one~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

This Touched me in the area of my heart. I see you understand how souls unite when love is there. Very good poem that shows wisdom. Hugs Kimberly |

aww thanks much for all your wonderful comments -- I have no idea where this poem came from. Well I -know- where it came from, but that's not even on the same side of the emotional rainbow as the original ending. I write my poems backwards, always think of the ending lines first, then have to find the middles and beginnings. Think that's the first I've actually done beginning to end, all in order and stuff Apparently, after the mass exodus of my muses several months ago, one of them found her way back last night *grins* ~*Sheli*~ |
