Feeling the Night They are wilting now, but a residue of a caring that I often miss, watering them with soft thought tending them with dreams. There is an easing of the heart a letting go from the unwanted constant in life, where reaching out brings only words and knowing the touch of begins to fade. But there is satisfaction in the calmness of, retiring desires into memory, the mirror lying once again. I have been drugged with hope leaving behind its effects, more of life's wrinkles. Changing once again, this canvas brush-touched too little, too late cracking from withdrawal, curled up in longing beginning to peel. Out of season, the unknown still lingers behind that mirror though the gold of yesterday has turned to silver and even that seems to be wearing off now bit by lonely bit. ~A~ [This message has been edited by Alicethruglass (07-10-2006 05:03 PM).] |
