LAMENT beneath the muscle of moon we lay on the beach and moved there like we were the tide and the sand it mixed in with your goosebumps of skin and the stars combed their hair in your eyes and the waves were like wax but our footprints they vanished like tracks that jets leave in the sky we’re a week from the moon years from the stars oh that the past could be part of the sky http://www.anthonyarmstrong.zoomshare.com [This message has been edited by shirtless (05-21-2006 10:34 PM).] |

"beneath the muscle of moon we lay on the beach and moved there like we were the tide and the sand it mixed in with your goosebumps of skin and the stars combed their hair in your eyes and the waves were like wax but our footprints they vanished like tracks that jets leave in the sky" __________________________________ LOVE, love, LOVE the imagery and passion in the above lines! It's a beautiful, romanticized lament. Ok, I now officially have a favourite of yours - this one is being saved in my library. When did you write this? Is it an oldie or new? When I sometimes save poems, I also like to write down the year penned for nostalgic reasons. This type of emote/lament is right up my alley - combining both the light and subtle darkness of poetry in one poem. Excellent imagery and tone, laced with love and longing for the past, to regain something more.. Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |

superb imagery I love the way you toss sparkling stars about, scoop warm sand in your hand then sprinkle it all before our eyes |

It is satisfying when a poem pleases -- so thanks SEA and HONEYBEE. HONEYBEE, this was written sometime before 1999. |

It is (part of the sky) - and I know. Thank you for every brushstroke and the completed, living work. - Owl |
