The path I tread today takes longer; Why? I really cannot say. Seems I now take time to ponder, As I walk along my way: Why this orchard is not barren- even on this winter day; Why the frozen ground beneath Surely holds a springtime spray. Why my moments now are golden- Shining, while the shadows play; Why it took so long to notice: Eternity is here today. |

This makes me think of crocus, one of the earliest flowers to bloom, sometimes before spring. The idea of time to think and just be, to take in beauty, holds great appeal for me. You write so beautifully, touch the edges of my longings and I'm drawn in! Lovely ~ Klassy |
