The Blank Canvas

We face blank canvas every day
The palette half of misty dream
Our mind the brush of interplay
The lubricant an oil of seem

We paint the day’s reality
The cold and hard of how we feel
With love and pains finality
And dream the night with mighty zeal

We mix the two to see the truth
A painting that will show the core
A painting with the cost of youth
A peek into the evermore

We put a spy glass to our eye
To magnify horizons deep
To see the ghost of spirits fly
To see the phantom of our keep

But low each picture of our day
Is but a fraction of our way

Good afternoon Sy!
Loved today's offering from you.
I hope you are well and enjoying a fine summer.
& Nancy.

Don't bring me down now,
let me stay here for awhile
You know life's too short,
let me bathe here in your smile.

::smiles::   Excellent !

The first thing painted upon the blank canvas is "me".   The rest follows.  LOL
I am a great freestyle artist...but "me" likes to paint by numbers.   ::smiles::

Great write !    :: bows ::

Well, Dear Seymour, something is wrong with my paintbrush. I try so hard to paint a better picture, but my paintbrush seems to have a mind of it's own.

What ever your heart desires, it is your paint brush and palette.

SmartChick
Sometimes we seem to be lost, but then again it is your palette and paint brush.

Seymour~
You not only do a masterpiece on canvas,
you manage to do remarkable word-art~

Oh, Sy...you bring back the
memory of the palette poem...

and for you, I shall bring it back
again...for YOU were the one
who inspired it!

Sy,

To paint in color thoughtful sky,
take time to muse and wonder why
such beauty blooms in tender face,
and love holds eternal place
within the heart no matter how
our eyes might view the here and now...

though length of days may wane and measure,
you've found your life in heaven's treasure!

thank you for sharing your palette ~ It's lovely!
