Disdain
courses through veins
weakening me

bringing self
to my knees
leaving barely enough
strength to survive

I am
still alive

kicking and screaming

but you can't hear
because you hide
cloaked in fear

afraid to face
reality,
you chose
not to see

what is left of me

in the aftermath
of your stupidity

for every action
a reaction

sometimes fashioned
in fists that fall
slamming them hard
against the wall

over and over
while emotions bleed
and fulfill
my basic need.....

unrestrained
insanity...

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

seems like guilt sometimes speaks volumns, doesn't it....during a real crisis, we come to know our true friends...

this was heartbreakingly good poetry...

GentleOne~

When pounding fists against the wall don't help ... you find the quill to release it to the page~

That is a good, good thing, I think~

I agree with Marge...writing can pound out even more than fists...though both do have their season...
