Dear Hannah,

Sorry we never got to met
Your name is one I'll never forget
Your probably sixteen or a little older
Some how I know the worlds colder
I really wish i could've been there
Crying right now about time we won't share
Kinda strange lookin back how things go
Talk about it more but you already know
Found out about you 3 monthes after I leaft
Heard the words, they stole away my breath
You are a blessing sent from god above
Know me and your mom were madly in love
Hate It that i won't be there and watch you grow
but the world's hard sometimes you know
Got sent off to do a job far away
Never thought I wouldn't be there today
I fought the good fight a few times before
Always made it through god knows I hate war
But someone had to be here to keep us free
Wouldn't want anyone else to die for me
So I did the best I could each day
Tried to help out in my own way
I hope I died well so you can stand proud
Don't be afraid to get a little loud
and stand for what you believe
Theres alot of guys and gals like me
that gave everything so America can stay free
Just wanna say I love you my beautiful girl
Want you to know my family was my only world
Guess I'll close now don't know what else to say
Exept I love you and thought of y'all everday
I love very much tell your mom too
I'll love you both forever and true
Until in the end
When we're reunited again
goodbye my beautiful girl and God
       bless and keep you

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

In the end the hardest thing to deal with in the separation and devision of war, is having to part with your family. Dispite what good it may, or may not do... Having to leave them behind to do it, is heartbreaking. This poem shows and expresses that very well, thanks for the read.
