Instant in season
and out of season.

But...  Tis the season...

The season of
sun dresses.
Halter tops
and cold kegs
Barbecue pork
and fried chicken
Catfish and crabs.
McILHenny, Sauers
and Old Bay.

The season when my songs
of life are all in open tuning.

The season when I slide.

Right or wrong
Good or bad
I do not know.

It simply   IS

The season

When no matter how far
I have travelled on this journey...

I wipe the dust off the fretboard
String some new D'Addarios

and return to the crossroads.

Excellent!

Don't bring me down now,
let me stay here for awhile
You know life's too short,
let me bathe here in your smile.
