Only every so often Once in a blue moon Have you come to me in a dream that is gone too soon. I expected when you left me That you would still linger near Your soul, my soul - connected. I thought you'd always be here. You were gone long before The last breath left your chest You went out with the storm For a much needed rest. I needed you then And I was mad for so long My mind went through the motions And now I know I was wrong. But I still do need you, just like I did back then. Are you here watching me? and why can't I know when? Are you that beautiful Robin That hopped towards me and flew away? Are you that butterfly hovering around me? Or that kitten wanting to play? Are you my guardian angel Or are you a twinkling star Do you walk with me down the road? Or drive with me in the car? Some days I feel so alone and other days I know its true The tingling on the back of my neck I just know that has to be you I know I can feel you, Even though we are apart.. Maybe you are inside of me and you live inside my heart. For my Gramma...my definition for strength. |
