In the midst of all that's been done and said,
Still we choose this path with love we bled.
Sitting on a park bench you asked my dreams,
All along all my dreams were with you it seems.
I know you feel it still when I look in your eyes,
I know there's deep feelings yet we tell our lies.
And I'm so afraid of the gift you gave me,
A good father to our daughter do you think I'll be?
Everyone around has their opinion of her,
All blind, friends, a brother and a mother.
It's a shame they would have loved her to pieces,
We gave them blood relation not half nieces.
And still even through that the feelings linger,
A beautiful woman and mother with a gentle finger.
Looking back I see that we really had it right,
But everyone made us both lose our sight.
Even through everything wronged between us,
When we felt like we were hit by a tour bus.
Somehow we made it through with stronger feelings,
Somehow we made it through all those bad dealings.
And now we have beautiful Jada our baby,
Gives us more hope more than maybe.
All my dreams were with you,
But this I'm sure you already knew.
