Those WordsWhy can't I feel that emotion, I once gave Was the damage so deep that I am unable to feel today Will I ever feel a love so true As I once felt in the past Or, will I aways be too afraid That it would never last I still hear those words He always said to me Piercing my tender heart They never leave me be Am I really as worthless as He had left me feeling Or, will I ever find someone Who will truely care about me Oh how I wish this heart of mine Would really and truly mend So that I would be able to feel Such a wonderful love, again 6-24-06 |

OhSweetSuzie~ Our hearts often play the song we want to hear again, even though there is remembered pain in the playing~ I believe that the strong woman you have shown yourself to be will overcome ANY obstacles in your path ... that includes being able to open up and let a new love in when the time is right~ And it will be 'right' someday ... Honest Injun ! *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

So good to have you back writing with us Sue... I have found that longing is the final stage of healing...when the senses, mind and body all move with the spirit. Doors open in the wake of that call. TD |

"Am I really as worthless as He had left me feeling" No, of course not, but that is the way he wanted you to feel. This poem is one of the most clearly stated descriptions of the very human act of clinging to pain in order to retain some hold on some part of the past (in reading this, you may choose the part of either the pot or the kettle, and I will assume the other. *grin*   Thank you for sharing this painful awareness. |

May your heart mend quickly, dear Sue. You have chosen intense words that touch the reader. Never should we allow anyone to make us feel unworthy. May you be aware of the fact of being whole and beautiful, in every moment. Love and hugs. Margherita |

No, dear poet friend, you are a precious gift in this universe. The universe knows you and knows just how precious you are...keep your mind focused on attracting a divine relationship...one which provides you with the love and joy you so greatly deserve. Tell yourself everyday that you are a divine creature and deserve what you desire. It (he) will manifest. I know this. You are precious and (as if you could not tell) your poem truly touched me. Love, Patricia |

He wasn't worthy of you. You are now free of him, ready to be your own person first, and then, and only then, will you be ready to be part of a relationship, but don't ever let anyone treat you like that again. Hope that tomorrow is a better day for you. Hugs - Owl |

Sue...It's been awhile, but the hurt and bad memories are always there haunting us, you just have to be the strong person that got thru everything once before and hold your head high, you are a great person...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

Will I ever feel a love so true As I once felt in the past Or, will I aways be too afraid That it would never last that's the greatest fear of all, Sue... M |
