I'll sing a song so listen as I'm singing to the tune,
Then close your eyes and look inside my mind.
Peer into a picture and perhaps you will perceive
that it's just a piece of person turned to paint.
And remember as you read this, if my meaning should seem blurred,
that a poem's
just a poet
in a word.

I liked that alot...good job...did u write that or is it an excerpt from a book (someone elses)
anyways...good write from whoever wrote it...elevation is the key

PC, "It's About Time" was the first book I published, though it was not a poetry book. However, the poem had chin whiskers before I wrote the book...as did several others I included. :-)

A poem's just a poet in a word.
