How I'm Blessed
It's that kind of day for my morning wake as I groggily wish for a bath. But there on the bottom hanging upside down is a "bat" kind of day... DO NOT LAUGH!
It's a bi annual thing when they take the wrong turn and end up where they don't belong. So I'm packing my things and taking a trip for the day until I find someone strong.
Not in physical strength but emotional kind as I can't stand to be near a bat. Since I was a child I had nightmares of them and prefer to be where they aren't at!
Tiniest thing, hanging there backward and watching my disapprove. So I'm taking a bath (the kitchen-kid-kind) till someone (that bat) will remove.
I know they are "good" but if only they'd stay somewhere else when they need their rest. My neighbor I thank for this bi annual gift sending theirs this direction, how I'm blessed!!!. M
*My neighbor had them removed 3 years ago professionally and they were chased out...and have decided the peak of my house looked good to them. Every now and then one gets lost and works its way into the living quarters of the house only to eventually die.

*giggling*.... I am one of those people who love bats but I totally understand...In my minds eye I can see you giving that bat a hard look that says 'who do you think you are messing up my day?'...I love it....**big hugs**

Well, I'm one to appreciate blessings ~ however, a bat in my bathroom is not at the top of that list!
Brrrr! Shiver me timbers! I may have bats in my belfry, but bats in my bathroom would be a whole different story!
'Hang' in there!

Eeeek !! Oh, Maureen, they are creepy little things aren't they? Still in all, they do serve a purpose. But... it isn't scrubbing your back in the tub !!! lol. Maybe if you built or bought one or two of those bat houses, they would move their winged families there. Dunno. Hugs for the smiles, Chris

Well now, M, I have always resisted the urge to think that you are a little "batty". And I'm always glad for confirmation of when I'm right. Not only that you have a great perspective(which you have earned)! Fun read, thanks. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

professionally? I would think that those guys would take the bats to the woods and set them free after they've caught them.
Hopefully you can get rid of them soon.

Maureen we have them around here also. Had two in the house..not at the same time! Just throw a towel over it and let it loose outdoors. It's an awful thing to be spied on by a bat while you bathe. Hugs~Nancy~Somewhere in my heart I'm always dancing with you in the summer rain ~

It was just a baby and by the time I got home had moved to the floor closer to the bathroom door.. it was put outside and given some water but I doubt it will live long..I don't know how the babies survive but its family is nowhere near my living quarters.
Now I can take that long leisurely bath Thanks guys for understanding~~ M

M, thanks so much for the visuals...I'm not fond of bats, but they certainly do have their purpose among us...

I haven't seen a bat (in real life--just TV life) since I was 5 years old and one of the little buggars got into our garage. My mom "broomed" it out, and that was that.
So much enjoyed this.
