as i cower in my cocoon, i contemplate life around me. the darkness clothes my shell and i cannot see. with my eyes wide open i yearn to be set free. when will life start over again i always long to be someone different, some place else where my true colours will shine. but the darkness of my surroundings shows im lacking time. i know that when im ready people will see the real me. but right now im frail and hidden like a distant memory. when you see my true self my bright colours will make you smile. my wings will wrap around you and youll be swept away with time to a place whre i belong where nobody can hurt me. my cocoon will be forgotten like a distant memory. |

"to a place whre i belong where nobody can hurt me. my cocoon will be forgotten like a distant memory." Beautiful poetry, but that ending... WOW. Heartfelt. JL |
