Your Encouraging WordsAs good as you I try to write a poem Just as beautiful, too Whenever I do write It is from my heart Not all of it is sad Like it was from the start From the talks we had You seem to be able to tell I had no confidence at all But, you encouraged me, still It was all your kind words That inspired me to continue Writing what was inside Boosting my confidence, too Although my self-esteem is low With friends like each of you Someday, I may be able to believe The same about myself, too By Sue 1-10-06 |

Dear Sue, I walk in your shoes many times myself, and stumble alot. I have to pick myself up, re-group and re-organize. Your poem is beautifully written and expresses so much of what many writers feel. Sometimes a writer is only understood by a fellow writer. I truly think Sue, that it's you who gave US confidence and self esteem by all the words penned down straight from your heart. I admire you greatly Lady and am enjoying (if I may use that word) your poetry, sad or happy, because you have found your very own style in writing beautiful verses. I know they've reached the hearts of many a poet Sue, never, never doubt that my friend. It's not the use of difficult words that makes a poem you know, at least not in my book, because half the time I don't know what they're talking about and I always know what you are talking about  Hugs to you my friend. It speaks to all of us because it speaks for all of us...and the one thing I can count on, is that with the continued friendships that we all possess here at PiP, through poetry, and because of poetry, we will all continue to strive to do our best... and if we fall, it is a soft fall, among our poetic friends. We all find special and unique ways to lift, and be lifted, by one another. A special write, Sue... . |
