I can find reason irrationally
a cause and effect for every freak
of nature and science,
emotions and need -
I can find reason irrationally.

I like to have answers
all tidy and neat
and fancy foot dancers
are thoughts that I bleed
I look for reason irrationally
counting the syllables
measuring beats
to let this be simple
sub-complexity:

I look for reasons irrationally.

Karen...Yes, you've had enough....time for long summer twilight and sweet dreams past dawn, I think.  Take care of you, eh?

You look for reasons irrationally?
Sounds sane to me.

I'm trying to figure out why...
the smarter I work,
the harder I find
that what I do, is right.
Only to be considered wrong
by those who are
threatened.

I owe you one.

Karen -- Someone once pointed me to a website on chaos theories.  Their point was to show me that there was even design to chaos.  Well, it makes no sense to me.  This is a beaut of a poem in that to me it says, even when I've made sense out of things, even under extreme circumstances, there's always something else to come along and screw that up...perpetuating the cycle (the rhythm, etc.) of learning/growing.  However, those locusts seem to devour more than their fair share, I think.  (And, I love it when poems make me think, yano.) luvsya......jojo

"get back to basics"

Sometimes I think the basics just keep getting less basic..

and what of that blood red moon?  Any sign of that?

*heavy sigh*

Love ya madly Karen.

Gosh, K

thats why me head hurts all the time

I look for answers when there aren't any.

Kisses my Lady.

Think too much, hurt too much, thought is the demise of my peace or is it that thinking brings me closer to myself or just maybe I should be thankful for the ability to be able TO think at all, I must have answers though or else I toss and turn all night and cant sleep and ghosts crowd in and try to tell ME what I dont want to hear and that just keeps me thinking . . .

Thanks for reading, and as some might have guessed, this one was inspired by a recent night of tornadoes here in the Greater New Orleans area.

So my titled was almost "inspired by tornadoes"

but, I gotta admit, when I thought "what's next?" Locusts came to mind...

sheesh. Let my people go?

They are gone already.

Enough of this stuff! hrmmmmph

thanks for taking the time, folks

if it starts raining frogs though, I dunno...

I can relate to this very well, for other reasons than tornadoes (which we don't have here, nor earthquakes, nor hurricanes, nor many floods - certainly not to the extent of many places in the world).

I heard about the tornadoes on the news, and hope that you and yours (including people and posssessions) and all of New Orleans, are safe.  It must be a terrifying experience.

I hope the plagues are now over for New Orleans and that you will all have peace and harmony to heal and blossom.

Irrational is the only way to find them. The box contains the stuff that used to be irrational, that now we've rationalized into tepidity. Thinking outside the box means a willingness to look out, while remining safely cocooned inside.

So stand up on the box and look around at all the nifty stuff you can see from there -- all of it irrational!

And you look for rationale reasonably... when most of us would be kicking something and screaming ENOUGH! *S*

Now... about the frogs... *G* Even plagues have degrees... and frogs are better than snakes??? LOL

Hang in there... and keep writing! *S*

I do SO miss reading you. Stay safe, please... And hey, there's nothing wrong with looking for a reason for it all.

Take good care of yourself.
