It lies with you each night and greets each morn It comforts you in your sorrow and wipes away your tears How I wish it could be me Happy or sad, it never refuses your embrace He keeps all of your secrets and reveals not your fears How I wish it could be me You trust it completely without even a thought For it cannot betray you and it knows no schemes How I wish it could be me I think I truly envy your pillow Because it gets to share in all your dreams And how I wish it could be me Lyn Eagleton 10/02/05 |
