they were the warriors under stones I heard the sand of their armor as they struggled to become clay and the potter smiled her eyes and pried her hands into their water reaching for the souls she could fashion into goblets of crystalline for her wine and saucers of vapor to hide her jewels and a vase diaphanous to stem her black roses her breasts are heavy now in their freedom she plays them in shadow dances for the sun lest he hurry to his night place covenant without glassing her lover's complexions _____________ daark [This message has been edited by Dark Stranger (01-31-2006 09:34 AM).] |
