Run2U (part 3)

Care to take me to the place I was born,
It’s just a train ride away-
I don’t want to go on my own
all the faces I used to know have changed,
And we could walk hand in hand-
let me tell you my childhood places
now smaller than once first seen.

I never knew life held so many disappointments,
Your voice was the only sound drowning out-
the depression that kept sinking in-between
that thought of a better place to be,
But I stayed for you because I felt hope-
knowing your smile that held me
would soon be those of arms around me.

Was it just the movement of the sea,
That led my voice into a scream-
and you stood and listened to my pleads
and then made your own to that sea,
Each raindrop holds emotion I’ve felt it-
each kiss holds a message I’ve passed on mine
and each fairytale ends just like ours.

And now I know it’s too late to look back,
Thinking what part I could change if only-
but I know each change ruins what we had
we’ve made our own little story,
So I hold onto the last words you gave me-
I’ll always Run2U
isn’t that what keeps me smiling still.
