SOMETHING UNIQUE

I'm the Holden Caulfield
Of the 21th century
Not quite right
Not quite wrong

I struggle in my ways
To make all ends meet
Only waiting
For my life to begin

And I often think
Of all the beautiful things
Unfolding everywhere
Without me

And I'd like to love
And be beloved
But love's never as sweet
As the idea of it

And what binds this all together
Are merely nothing
But hopes and wishes
For something better

Please be careful not to let life slip by as you wait.

Touching read.

Some of us, even as children, demand to live life at too fast a pace.  Like Fee said, don't let it slip away.

Great work.
