It is quite ironic,
I must admit,
To view my mind,
From a different perspective.

It is amazing,
What one song can do,
To a person’s way of thinking,
And their way of life.

I find that I,
I am a wonder,
I love to learn,
I love to ponder.

When I am blue,
I wish to remain that way,
Sing sad songs,
Turn things around.

But when I am true to myself,
Really listen and look,
I find,
That I really do not mind.

To me,
All the strife,
All the struggle,
Is a part of my favorite thing,
What I call life.

Things happen,
Things pass,
Both bad and good,
But always,
Life goes on.

No way would I change,
No way would I try,
To defy my love,
My love for life.

Sometimes I find,
It is the one thing keeping me going,
My belief in life’s joys,
Yes, and even my beliefs,
In life’s sorrows.

I may be insane,
A bit crazy it’s true,
But I find myself perfectly happy,
Content in my analysis,
Confident and accepting,
In what I believe is right.

So if ever you find,
Like any normal person,
That you are distressed, lost, confused,
It is okay,
Because life itself,
Gives us our true freedom.

The choices we have and make,
Affect how our life is run,
Our beliefs,
Are what keep us going strong.

Only one person,
Can make your choices,
And that one person has that singular right,
And that singular individual,
Is you!

Take life,
I beg you,
One day at a time,
For the past existed,
And the future never will.

Therefore,
The only thing left to us is now,
The present,
Today!

Thank you for your time,
Your choice to read my work,
I am glad you stayed with me,
And I hope that you,
Take this day,
And make it,
Yes, you can make it your own!
