Words to Suit My Day I addressed myself to see what it is that could be seen when in that wear. Not liking the view, turning sideways, backwards peering over the shoulder No matter... Disappointment reigns Just a fantasy to never be like second hand smoke... a danger to myself in thought Crossing paths only to be gifted by words that fill what my sighs cannot A mind is a powerful thing can twist you into nots can turn your outsides in and shake the foundation until cracks form, crumbling begins eventually becoming a collage of past, present, and future blending the mood into numbness. Today is not just another day, needing to be shared, just because, because I can't forget my challenged life... to leave you alone when six decades are yours to own. What a waste, I think at times, cradling love in my memory knowing I am probably the only one who could care to remember. I can't be selfish, because I had a great day with hugging arms from those so small, and lit up eyes telling me hello. A good day when I can feel warm despite cold winds and freezing temperatures and it isn't even February yet... M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Alot of days seem the same and people place special days in the year what feel like normal days depending on the feeling back in the caveman age i wondered if they cared if it were monday or any other day not that they knew they just knew of night and day passing its amazing how far we came |

"because I had a great day with hugging arms from those so small, and lit up eyes telling me hello. A good day when I can feel warm despite cold winds and freezing temperatures and it isn't even February yet..." Those sweet little arms wrapped around you would warm the coldest days of January Maureen. Love this! Hugs~Nancy In the midst of winter, |

"A mind is a powerful thing can twist you into nots can turn your outsides in and shake the foundation until cracks form, crumbling begins eventually becoming a collage of past, present, and future blending the mood into numbness." Sometimes our minds can be are greatest enemies; next in line is our hearts. But....sometimes, one needs to listen. If you're missing teaching, Maureen, there sure is a need for teachers who really enjoy there work and just don't do it for summer vacation and working around the family. Enjoyed this immensely. ![]() |

To those of us who are blessed with words and emotions, the mind can be a dangerous tool. Finding ways to stop the thoughts, seems near impossible. But a loving hug from those who care, can make it bareable. BIGGEST OF HUGS, Fee Expressions, |

Jo, I am only substituting until I can save enough money to take 2 courses needed to re-certify to get a teaching job due to No Child Left Behind and these new Praxis Tests...(they may need teachers in America but they are actually making it harder for the people to get the jobs unless you are just out of college or have transferred. ) I find it strange that they would rather hire from out of the country than hire me or others like me and allow me to take those courses later and yet I can long term sub at this moment. but you would be surprised at how many teachers near my age think I am crazy to start teaching now in the present atmosphere of so much testing and not enough time to teach. That's why I am so busy, they are required to give so many tests to the individual child that they have to hire subs to teach while they are in the hallways testing...strange methods and demands for sure. In the meantime I am enjoying every class no matter the age...and I think I am accomplishing some good. OH and the meaning behind the poem...my "estranged" husband's 60th birthday was yesterday and I felt that he needed dinner out to celebrate since I would be the only one to remember it. Thank you for the responses ![]() M |
