SWEET, SWEET SOUND Oh, sweet, lost caress, silver-pawed, earth-drum reverberating patterns through my greedy ears I thought you were silenced for all eternity, but out of the cinders you growl softly and, after five sunrises, I again hear the purring of my telephone’s dialtone. - Owl |

This poem is so intense I don't know what to say about it. I'm afraid I didn't understand, but instead of asking I'm going to pore over it until I do. Your command of words is so strong that I know the fault is with my reading. |

brother stone, I admire those with the courage to say they don't understand a poem. Even more, I admire (and understand) the wish to work it out for oneself. I do that often, but once I have found an interpretation of another's poem (and how wrong I often am!), I like to know where I went wrong, so feel free to ask whenever you wish to. I am very honoured by what you say of my writing. I don't think anyone has said to me quite what you did! - Owl |
