Ripples by Joseph Knob ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ it was out on the dock where you met me that morning just by chance to see the rising sun you could have been anyone but i knew who you were as your approaching footsteps made the aging wood creak we didnt speak but you did sit down next to me on the edge of the pier where you and i sat silent and looked upon the morning sky's reflection on the peaceful surface that stretched into the distance where the slightest glow of sunlight began to swell you took my hand in yours and looked at me and, against my wishes you forced my eyes into yours with your hand on my face your eyes told me to surrender and without a word you kissed me |

"I knew who your were" Love claims its own, for sure! The vision of dawn on the docks, with it's serenity and new awakenings... your imagery and metaphor strike to the basic beauty of being alive. Lovely poem! ~ Karen 45 |
