Angel Through Eternity

When she told me that she
wanted to be my angel,
I knew that my dreams
were finally coming true.
I always hoped she would be,
still I waited patiently
for her to come to me,
because sometimes angels
have other places that
they need to go.
While I hoped, I prayed,
that in her heart I would stay,
and that she would be
my angel through eternity.
