Lazy Sunday mornings smothered by the noise of lawn mowers Dogs barking add to the unstoppable commotion Reigning birds leap from their trees at the sight The checkered pattern emerges little by little Dodging rocks and sprinkler heads are all apart of the job A sweet hum rings through the ears of the doer The distinct smell of grass cuttings seeping into the nose The constant trip to the trash can to remove of the clippings Seems more and more annoying as time goes on Mowing the lawn is a chore to many But to one, it is a great past time that is enjoyed with every step of the way |

This is a great description of the mowing process with all the sensations of the task--Also liked your ending theme of enjoying these sensations "every step of the way" rather than finding mowing an irksome chore. Great way to say be in the moment and furthermore, why be miserable? This could (and wish it would) be applied to all the Mundane. Thanks for posting! Shenachie |
