Constantly working to meet stardom's cement block, She's like Poindexter with a pretty face. She invisions yours and her dreams... Unconsciously speaking to you in her sleep. All to her lovers disdain... Her heart's been broken like a record that's warped She falls in love with men she can't have or keep Craving the loving touch her life lacks, She's absorbed in fantasies of you... Melting away the loneliness she feels. She knows you see through to her vulnerable heart, When she sees you to often she's weak Knowingly she looks away in fear, When your eyes pearce her soul... She's afraid to gaze in your eyes. Instead she runs away and hides. Feeling ashamed she doesn't even try She's in love with you Hero confused as to why? Perhaps she saw a compassionate heart Like the one known only to her in the mirror, Or the vision of her imagination... |

Jody5 I've read two of your poems and both are nice. In this poem I found myself reflecting back on times my heart was broken and the changes that one goes through for love. Who ever "She" is I hope she finds true love. I love your insight |
