Keeping Touch

In this world of technology
We have so many ways of keeping in touch
So many ways of meeting someone
Whether across town,
Or somewhere around the world
Incredible as it may seem
There will come a time
When someone so far away
Will seem so very near
Someone who touches you
In the same way you will touch them
I’ve often been asked a question
One, which I have no answer to
“How can you feel for someone you have never seen?” (In Real Life)
Someone you have never touched
Someone you may never hold
The answer to that I do not have
All I know, what I feel is real
Some day soon, you and I will meet
When the day arrives we will find
That the feelings we have are true

smiling here, as we are all
~real~ even though it may seem we are simply ~cyber~
somewhere behind the puter keys
is a breathing human

some may be nice, some not so nice
but all are human
(except Hal, circa 2001 movie fame)
LOL

I think it's more that the emotions touch when our intuition let's us know someone is genuine.

(just as it hurts when we find out they are not genuine)

but don’t know how
sometimes it feels
just like I’m falling
in the ocean’
