He pounds the keys,
hits deep inside
the centering
of me,
brings me to my knees
begging for more please
as the notes cascade
down the walls of my heart,
ears hearing celestial notes
earth beings rarely conceive

and then he does leave

me
in silence

last notes hanging in mid air
like a dove or perhaps a glider
sensing magnificence

and then I escape
the confines of earth

to soar amongst the skies beyond the reach
of all the mud and mundane machinations
humans wrap themselve up with
and then turn out the light,
believing
all is well

as the globe spins itself
faster and faster
toward
Hell.

Is it any wonder
I choose to wrap myself up tight
in a cocoon of musings each night?

Makes a lot of sense to me too, Kacy!  I carry my wrap of withdrawal from a harsh and crazy world wherever I go but not so anyone notices of course.
Perhaps its only in our own musings that we can find a hint of peace so wrap up tight, dear lady, it's cold where I am tonight.
Great read!

Aaaaaaaah, I finally found it.
Anyone have an antidote,
A paliative for writers block?
What  more might readers want to read of me?
I want to believe
there is still a treasury of stuff within,
if only I could converse with my own thought s
or with others who may want to know
the treasury of my inner world.
But for now, I guess,
I may just have to wait,
and instead,
occypy myself with nonsense in the mean time.
Actually I could post this.
But I'm in the pips editor and would somehow have to cut and paste it into ms word. The Southern Cross. Hugs.

I personally know artists of this arrest...
but I would love to know
whom it was
you listened to, just so...

that I could nod and nod again
and say yes...

tis so...

oh please, if you would
let me love this with you.

Unveil the name...

if you would...

oh, what a warm feeling I get reading these replies...you guys are so kind! Melissa, ya made me blush!
Ok Sunshine, since you asked about the inspiration...
it was a combination of listening to pianist Keith Jarrett, specifically The Koln Concert (1975) and then reading some wonderful poetry
