After the fire rains down from above |

When will the Earth give birth once again When will she foster A new forest of friends Perhaps out of the skies Fiery death from above This death leads to life New hands and new gloves I speak not of the Apocalypse For that is the final end I speak only of new endings And new beginnings with no men. I know she yearns to do so Maybe knock an asteroid our way I can see it in her trees Hear the breeze say “Today!” Today may be the day You think the reptilian birds knew? When the heavens reigned down Declaring an end and a new I can feel it most in our cities Smoke pouring into the sky Out pouring new goods For us to consume and goodbye I see she grows weary Of our careless ways Just wait today or tomorrow We may feel her rage. For these reasons And some not discussed She may choose to end us Agree, yes, I must I hope that after the fire Rains down from above She’ll birth a new species Who cares more about love. I see she grows weary of our careless ways You are right, it's high time to awaken to Love and to care for our Mother Earth and for each other. Well done. Let us not tire to promote peace, love and harmony. Love, Margherita |

If there were more people who thought like you, our world would be so much better cared for. Thank you for this. - Owl |

Wonderful write! The earth has more than enough for man's need, but not enough for man's greed. --- Mahatma Gandhi |

thanks for your comments guys and gals. I kind of feel the rhyming gets a little tired in some spots though.. maybe I'll change it if the right words come to me. |
