You sit alone
In the dark
Praying for salvation
Or maybe just a life lived with out the dark
You sigh and close your eyes
You know what or who your looking for
You pray one day he will show up
You sit and you cry
As the time passes by
Slowly you drift off to sleep
And your dream is where you meet
You hold back your tears
As he bows before you
You cant take your eyes off of him
For his eyes are what captured you heart
You awaken with a start
At your door another knock
You stand irritated with who ever it may be
Answering the door you stand in awe
For before you stands me
The man of your dreams
As you look deep into my eyes
I look back
Seeing your eyes shimmer as they see the slight sliver blue hint
That makes me stand out
Your heart starts to race
I can see it all over your face
I bow before you
And take your hand
I place my lip
So gently along you palm
And with a kiss
So soft and sweet
I glance up at you
And sweep you off your feet
Your eyes fill with tears
As your mind begins to race
You say this must be a dream this cant be true
But here I stand before only you
As true as my eyes are silvery blue.
You heart told you yes your mind said no
This cant be real
But as I stand and look into your eyes
Wrapping my arms around you and holding you tight
Your mind melts away and i start to tell you its OK
But my voice is distant and my touch so soft
You feel as though you are still dreaming
As you waken from your dream finally
You realize that this time your dream was real for here I stand
In front of you
Here I am so sound and close
I touch your cheek as I pull you closer
Your lips and mine finally meet
And with you
You with me
We know at last our dreams are free.
