   She was so scared
   no one came near her
   not even to talk
or ask a for a hug
because she knew it was just the begining.

   Everyone knew
   she was deep in thought
wondering why she was put here
   never questioning
   life's deeper meaning.

   About to hatch
   take off into the world
   she discoivered a voice
   speaking her opinion
   always knowing what to say.

   So hungry
   never quite full
   the essence of flight
   took off into the night
   becoming a beautiful butterfly.
   Benjamin Prins   2006.
